Here is a new rock’n'roll video in which visual artist Rogier Wieland discloses his creativity, switching between graphic and motion graphic design, stop-motion techniques and cut&paste abilities. He created a colorful and winsome little world within the pages of each book, combining the three together.
Making of
The video was made using 15 extra small planners. The pages that contain animations are printed out on Moleskine A4 paper, cut out, either by hand or using a laser cutter, and glued inside the planner at 25 frames per second. Totally 533 animated pages. Shooting the video took about two weeks, total production time was five weeks, including audio editing.
The cat is Jippie, Wieland’s assistant, she likes to lay down where the artist works.
One morning Gerald wakes up as a woman… The adventures of a man transformed into woman and who discovers a new life in a new body.
The film begins with a man waking up to discover that he’s magically turned into a lady! He has no idea how to act feminine but soon makes a female friend who helps him/her. However, she/he soon notices that men are often pigs – as she is quite pretty and men hit on her like dogs chasing after a pork chop! He learns what it’s like to be a lady in our world – in a very funny and ironic way. However, she also learns that being objectified can also be very profitable as well! (imdb)

Illustrator with a great sense for detail. Also love his minimalistic animation. Hard cuts and moving the story to the point.
Based on the short story Harrison Bergeron by celebrated author Kurt Vonnegut, 2081 depicts a dystopian future in which, thanks to the 211th, 212th, and 213th Amendment to the Constitution and the unceasing vigilance of the United States Handicapper General, everyone is finally equal… The strong wear weights, the beautiful wear masks and the intelligent wear earpieces that fire off loud noises to keep them from taking unfair advantage of their brains. It is a poetic tale of triumph and tragedy about a broken family, a brutal government, and an act of defiance that changes everything.
The Academy-Award® nominated animated short-film tells the story of a lonely inventor, whose colorless existence is brightened only by dreams of the carefree bliss of his youth.
By day, he is trapped in a dehumanizing job in a joyless world. But by night, he tinkers away on a visionary invention, desperate to translate his inspiration into something meaningful.
When his invention is complete, it will change the way people see the world. But he will find that success comes at a high price, as it changes himself, as well.
